We are very proud to announce that following the rigorous external inspection of our translation business in August this year, SanTranslate has successfully passed the ISO 9001:2015 assessment with zero nonconformities!
SanTranslate is a fully ISO 9001 certified translation company with our headquarters in Nottingham, and offices in London and Malaysia. For the past 15 years, we have been delivering high quality translation services to businesses and individual clients across the world, in over 180 different languages.
Successfully upgrading to ISO 9001 means we will not need to renew our licence until 2026, with an annual inspection, of course. We will continue to retain our quality, and we will use this as an opportunity to better our translation services on an ongoing basis.
The assessor was very impressed with the unconventional nature of our translation business, and the integrity with which it is conducted. One key point highlighted during the ISO audit was the extremely low rate of client complaints SanTranslate has received since the translation business was launched back in 2001. Although we aim for no complaints at all, we have less than 1% filing cases per annum.
This is a fantastic achievement, and a reflection of the ongoing dedication and commitment from every member of our translation business including our typists, translators, editors, proofreaders, CMS entry personnel, project managers and management, in delivering high quality services consistently.

What is ISO and why is it important for our translation business?
ISO, or the International Organization for Standardization, is a global standardisation organisation that provides a framework to certify quality management procedures.
This is essential for our translation business, as conforming to International Standards means our clients can have confidence that our translation services are reliable, efficient, well managed, of a high quality and that we will deliver exactly as what we promised.
It can also help us to identify new business opportunities and tap into new markets.
The ISO 9001:2015 focuses on seven quality management principles within the translation business, these are:
- Customer focus.
- Leadership.
- Engagement of people
- Process approach
- Improvement
- Evidence-based decision making
- Relationship management
The ISO 9001:2015 audit in basic terms examines whether the management system is in compliance with the relevant ISO standard, that quality objectives are set and met for the business, any problems within the management system are recognised and met, whether customer needs are consistently met or exceeded, how customer complaints are received and handled, statutory and regulatory requirements are met etc.
Successfully meeting all the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 means SanTranslate is recognised as a world class translation service provider, committed to following our simple motto ‘Nothing is more important to us than to provide you with the best possible translation service’.
